Suntukung Manneh, Alhagie Fofana and Alhagie Touray were on 28 September 2011 brought before Magistrate Fredrick Foster of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court, charged with conspiracy and stealing.
All the three convicted persons pleaded guilty to the charges, and the first and second accused persons were sentenced to a fine of D2,000 each in default to serve four months in prison on count one.
On count two, the first accused was sentenced to one year in prison, while the second accused was sentenced to eight months in prison.
The third convicted person was fined D2,500, in default to serve four months in prison.
According to the first count, Suntukung Manneh, Alhagie Fofana and Alhagie Touray, on 21 September 2011 at Sheraton Hotel in Brufut town in the Kombo North district of the West Coast Region, conspired to commit a felony, that is, to steal.
On count two, the three accused persons on the same date and in the same place stole 13 containers of 20 liters each of gasoil valued at D7,800, being the property of Sheraton Hotel.
