Incumbent
president Abdou Karim Sey and Lamin Jarjue are set to race for the West Coast
Regional Football Association presidency on Sunday 30 April 2017, in Brikama,
West Coast Region.
Sey
is currently the president of West Coast Regional Football Association since he
was elected in 2013, and he is seeking second term.
Born
in 1984, Jajue is a lawyer by profession and serves as barrister and solicitor
at the Supreme Court after he had acquired bachelor’s degree in Law.
Jarjue
will be hoping to defeat incumbent president Abdou Karim Sey to become the next
president of the region’s football governing body for the next four years.
Eighteen
league clubs, nine districts, referees association and coaches association are
all set to cast their votes during the election.
The
winner will steer the affairs of football in West Coast Region for the next
four years.
