Real De Banjul, the country’s second most decorated football club, was formed in 1966, and would use the press conference to brief the media about the club’s state of preparedness for their upcoming Golden Jubilee set for later this year.
Real De Banjul have twelve domestic league titleson their back three domestic league titles behind city-rivals Wallidan, who have won fifteen league titles.
Real De Banjul have also won several FA and Super Cup titles and represented The Gambia in the CAF Champions league and Confederation Cup in the previous years.

De Banjul have produced several players for the Gambia national team such as
Ebou Sillah, Edrisa Sonko, Bubacarr Steve Trawally, Bubacarr Sanneh among
others since the inception of the club in 1966.
