The beneficiaries were Manjang Darboe Mosque, Gunjur Central Mosque, Sheikh Hatab Bojang Mosque, Bafo Barrow Mosque, and Gunjur Santoto Mosque.
The materials were handed over to the chairman of Gunjur village development committee, Demba Jobe Touray.
Speaking to The Point newspaper on Tuesday, Chairman Jobe Touray said the carpet cleaners would help in keeping the mosques clean.
He hailed all those who contributed towards the donation, shipment and clearing of the materials.
The
VDC chairman said Abdou Sarr Janneh had also donated D22,500 towards the annual
gamo of Gunjur, adding that similar gesture is expected from other natives of
Gunjur in the diaspora.
