Following constant speculation surrounding the ongoing over-aged saga that continued to hit the headlines in both the local and international media across the world which has also left the question mark about the fate of the Gambia National U-17 players, the President of the Gambia Football Association, Seedy M.B. Kinteh confirmed to Pointsport that the Gambia U-17 team wouldn't be an exception to the M.R.I test that will determine who is over- aged and who is not.

'At the moment, we are waiting for the world football governing body (FIFA) that will conduct the test but I can assure you that we will go for the test, but the date is unknown to us as at now", said the GFA boss who was speaking to our reporter in this interview at his office at the Independence Stadium in Bakau last Friday.

He added "it is not me or any other person who can determine the outcome of the MRI test".

Mr. Kinteh further took the opportunity to inform Pointsport that the team's proposed trip to Ghana where they are expected to visit as part of the preparation has been called-off, due to the lack of time.

He also revealed that the friendly game against Nigeria is still hanging in the balance, adding that any information regarding the issue would be known to the public.
