One Yaya Jatta, a Police Officer attached to Kotu Police Station on Monday testified before Magistrate Kayode of the Bundung Magistrates' Court in the ongoing theft case involving Mustapha Touray and Lamin Njie.
In his testimony, Officer Jatta told the court that on 10th May, 2009, he was on duty at the Kotu Police Station when he was authorised by his boss to escort the accused persons to where they sold the bicycle.
He informed the court that upon arrival at the scene, the bicycle was recovered.
According to the particulars of offence, on 10th May 2009, at Latrikunda Sabiji, the accused persons stole a bicycle valued at D2, 000, being the property of one Haruna Darboe.
The case was adjourned to 21st September, 2009 for hearing.
