The eight edition of the National Inter-Department Sports Association (NISA) will commence 12 March 2010, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The opening of the twenty-four team tournament, according to Secretary- General of the association, Saikou B Jarju, will be played between Immigration Department and RVTH.
The third edition of the female final which was postponed last year between the Gambia Armed Force and Immigration will be played on the same day, at 4pm.
He pointed out that the twenty-four participating team will commence a march-past at the Daily Observer junction in Bakau, to the Stadium alongside the police band.
During the opening, the new President of NISA, Mr. Buba Sagnia, who also doubles as Acting Director-General of Immigration Department will address the participating team before the tournament kick-off.
The Minister of Youth and Sports is expected to take the official kick-off for the opening, while the female category kick-off will be taken by former Speaker of the National Assembly Fatoumata Jahumpha Ceesay.
The grouping is as follows:
Group A, Fire Service,Comium, GIA, GPA.
Group B Immigration , GRTS, RVTH, KMC,
Group C,GAF, NAWEC, KOMBO BEACH, National Drug Enforcement Agency,
Group D, POLICE, SSHFC, GAMTEL, GCCA,
Group E, BADALA/ PALM BEACH, QCELL, MINISTRY OF JUSTICE and the Lebaness Community in the Gambia,
Group F, NAS/ CCF, National Road Authority, Daily Observer, Insurance Association of the Gambia.
