The head coach of the Gambia National team, Raoul Savoy, has said his target is to secure positive result against South Africa in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations clash on 13 June 2015 in Durban.

Coach Savoy was speaking at a press briefing held at the Independence Stadium in Bakau yesterday.

Savoy stated that the team started training on Tuesday in two sessions at the FIFA Goal Project, adding that seventeen players are already in the camp and the remaining players will join them in Kampala on Monday for the international friendly game against Uganda on Tuesday 9 June 2015 at the Nelson Mandela Stadium at 4pm.

Savoy further stated that the team is new and will start things fresh, adding that the South African team has not been going too well in recent time and were booted out of the CASAFA cup.

Savoy also revealed that they are really on poor run of form to collect positive result against his side hence he would continue to prepare well for their second game against Cameroon in September 2015, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Savoy reiterated his determination to snatch positive result against South Africa on 13 June 2015.
