CPL Omar Marong, a mobile traffic police officer attached to Tujereng Police Station, recently testified at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court in the trial of one Lamin Jabang, charged with unlicensed driving and careless driving.
In his testimony, CPL Marong told the court that on 24 October 2010, he was at Tujereng Police Station when he was informed of an accident involving a tractor and a vehicle with registration number 4617G driven by the complainant, Mustapha Bojang. He said the scene was visited and a sketched plan was constructed, which both drivers thumb-printed and he signed.
Both vehicles were tested, he said, adding that both drivers were served with testing certificates and warning letters.
Both the certificates and the letters were tendered and admitted as exhibits.
The case at that juncture was adjourned till 7 July 2011.
