It was alleged by prosecutors that Assan Waggeh and Omar Sowe, on 6 August 2015 at Bakoteh in the Kanifing Municipality, jointly conspired among themselves to commit a felony.
They were also alleged to have stolen a motor bicycle registration number BJL 7215 A mark SYM valued at D37,000 being the property of one Modou Sallah, on the same date, place and year.
It was further alleged that Assan Waggeh, on 31 July 2015 at Churchill’s Town in the Kanifing Municipality, stole a motor bicycle registration number BJL 3578 A mark LIFAN valued at D40,000, being the property of one Modou Gaye.
They denied any wrongdoing.
Magistrate Mbye granted them bail in the sum of D40,000 each with a Gambian surety who should swear to an affidavit of means, and also deposit his or her ID card with the court’s registrar.
They should appear in court whenever they are needed, and should not abscond. They should not also interfere with prosecution witnesses.
Cadet Inspector Bojang and Sergeant 544 Jaiteh stood in for the IGP.
The case was adjourned.
