Man arraigned for theft

One Alagie Biran Jobe, a Senegalese national, was yesterday arraigned before Magistrate Hilary Abeke of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with two counts of stealing.

He admitted to the charge and was remanded in custody till the next adjourned date for facts.

Count one of the charge sheet read that Alagie Biran Jobe, on 28 March 2013, at Kerr Serign, in the Kanifing Municipality, stole from one Landing Sillah’s Bureau, D34,884.

The charge sheet on count two indicated that Alagie Biran Jobe, on 18 March 2013, at Serekunda Market, in the Kanifing Municipality, stole from the shop of one Amadou Tijan Bah, a bag containing one Guinean passport, one Guinean permit, and cash of D8,000.

The case was then adjourned till 30 April 2013.
