referee and native of Kerr Mama, Maudo Jallow, and attended by a host of local
elders from all the participating villages.
The kick off was taken by a representative of the chief of Upper Nuimi, Alh Momodou Chatty Cham.
All the participating teams, according to Bai Dodou Jallow chairman of the Kerr Mama Sports Committee, were given two new footballs each by the committee.
In the Sunday fixture, Kerr Chebou drew 1-1 with Pakau Njogu F.C. All the goals were scored in the second half by Baimudow Jallow for Kerr Chebou and an own goal from Katim Touray of Kerr Chebou F.C.
Next weekend’s matches will feature group B clashes. Mamuda will take on Bakalarr on Saturday. Sunday’s game will feature Pakau Saloum against Kerr Demba at the Alh Gabbi Sosseh Mini Stadium in Kerr Mama.
