A
man called Paul Touray was recently arraigned before Magistrate Mbye of the
Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with threatening violence and prohibition
of conduct.
The charge sheet in count one read that on 13 May 2015, at Latrikunda German in the Kanifing Municipality, with intent to intimidate, he insulted or annoyed one Mariama Badjie, and threatened to beat her.
Count two stated that while in a public place, he conducted himself in a manner likely to occasion a breach of the peace.
He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D25,000 with a Gambian who must deposit an ID card.
Hearing
was adjourned to 27 May 2015.
