Real De Banjul’s chances of retaining their 2013-2014 Gambia Football Federation division one league title has suffered a set- back following their 2-1 defeat to Gambia Ports Authority at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on Wednesday.
The victory has earned Gambia Ports Authority third place in the league with 33 points in twenty-one games, after Brikama United lost to Interior 1-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Gamtel hopes of winning their first-ever league title in Gambian football suffered a massive blow following their 1-0 defeat to Banjul United at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.
The win has secured Banjul mid-table with 27 points in twenty-one games with one more game to go.
Gambia Armed Forces beat Bombada on the same score-line at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to level on points with the Brikama-based outfit with 28 points in twenty-one games.
Wallidan drew 1-1 with Hawks at the Independence Stadium, while Serrekunda United drew goalless with Bakau United at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.
Real De Banjul are still leading the league table with 41 points in twenty-one games. Gamtel are second with 41 points in twenty-one games and Gambia Ports Authority are now third with 33 points in twenty-one games.
Brikama United are fourth with 32 points in twenty-one games, Gambia Armed Forces are with 28 points in twenty-one games and Banjul United 27 points in twenty-one games.
Hawks are with 25 points in twenty-one games and Wallidan are with 20 points in twenty-one games.
Serrekunda United are with 19 points in twenty-one games, Interior are second-place from bottom with 18 points in twenty-one outings, while Bakau United are rooted at the bottom with 16 points in twenty-one games.
