Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbackeh of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court has expressed his displeasure over how police investigators do their investigations.

Magistrate Mbackeh made this comment recently while presiding over a case in which the suspect one Mbye Jah who was set free for an alleged robbery offence owing to lack of witnesses to prosecute the latter.

Magistrate Mbackeh stressed that society needed to be protected from criminals who go on terrorising innocent people, adding that our society did not need such kinds of people.

He therefore called on the police investigators to properly do their work in such a way that crime suspects did not go away scot-free without facing the full wrath of the law.

It could be recalled that Mbye Jah was brought to court accused of robbing one Falu Sillah at Latri-kunda School of D1000.

However, several attempts to get the complainant to help prosecutors tried the accused proved futile.
