Jah Kingdom FC clinch Sifoe Nooran title

Jah Kingdom FC were on Saturday crowned champions of the 2011 Sifoe Nooran Football Tournament after a 4-3 penalty shootout victory over Dragon FC.

Both sides drew 1-1 in regulation time at the Sifoe playground before heading for the shootouts.

Jah Kingdom opened the scoring through Kebba Jatta when beating Dragon FC defenders’ offside trap to smash the ball into the bottom corner of the net to give his side the lead.

Dragon FC fought back and their struggle was finally rewarded with an equaliser through Sheriffo Touray’s 66th minute strike forcing the game into a penalty shootout in which Jah Kingdom emerged the winner at the end of the contest.

As the champions, Jah Kingdom walked away with a giant trophy and a cash prize of D 2,500, whilst Dragon FC received a consolation prize of D2,000 as the runners-up.
