The ongoing female league football matches, on 16 June 2012, continued with Interior female football team being caught at their neck by the new young Abuko United recruited players to a 1-1 all throughout the 90 minutes of the game at Serrekunda West Park.
Abuko United’s goal came through Sainey Sissoko in the 12 minutes of the game from a free kick, which went under goalkeeper Binta Ngum legs.
The match continued after Interior were one goal down; their coach AYLA made wrong changes bringing in Amie a defender and removing midfield six, whose job is to destroy; then Interior became under pressure .
In the 30 minutes of the game they were lucky to get an equalizing goal through a free kick by their captain who made no mistake to fire from the centre of the field to the hands of Abuko’s goal goalkeeper and drop from her in the post giving them an equalizer.
After the resumption of the second half , Abuko players became more stubborn on Interior because they are looking for a defeat after they were beaten by Red Scorpions at Serrekunda East last weekend 4-1 as the Algerian did to senior Scorpions.
The contributions of some senior players in the Abuko team paid dividends against Interior, who were full of star players and did not know what to do in the field.
Interior‘s strikers were all not concentrating on goal scoring chances, because both Awa Demba and Isatou Basse Jallow had lot of chances but due to lack of patience they threw all their chances which could have made them to lead the table.
Oley Njie, the supporting striker of the team, didn’t help the team that match because she was out impatient making a lot of mal-passes and Darboe became a free role player, she overlapped with Sierra Jatta, alias Miss.
Whilst Abuko were disciplined on the ball making good passes just to frustrate them.
Ndey Beyai, Abuko’s Captain and Sainey Sissoko were the brain of Abuko doing all the donkey job to avoid Interior defeating them.
