The match in the male category is expected to be played between league champions Jeshwang United and runners-up Gambia Armed Forces (GAF), while the female category will feature league champions Interior FC against runners-up Gambia Armed Forces (GAF).
The national league proper will get underway a day later with the game kicking off at 5pm, according to Musa Casa Taal, president of the GVBA.
He added that the league comprises 11 teams, 7 male and 4 female teams, describing the number of teams registered for the league as remarkable.
Casa said further that the league will be played in a rotational format with games to be played in Banjul, Kanifing PIU, Churchill’s Town, Bakau and Brikama.
The late start of the league is due to circumstances beyond their control, he said, adding that they hope to stage a successful league.
