Ports Authority (GPA) have relieved in the 2019-2020 Gambia Football Federation
(GFF) division one league after beating Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) 1-0 in the
week-four fixture, played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on Monday.
The
ferry boys were with 1 point following their goalless draw with Wallidan before
clashing with the soldiers, who were unbeaten after winning two matches and
drew one.
Coach
Sheikh Adama Joof and his charges needed vital points to move away from the
danger zone to better their status in the league.
They
carried maximum points after scoring one goal to relieve in the country’s
premier league table with 4 points following their sloppy start to the league
campaign.
Gambia
Armed Forces dropped third-place in the league standings with 7 points after
slipping to embattle Gambia Ports Authority.
