The
Gambia National Women Volleyball team are eyeing a goal medal at the 2020 Zone
two beach volleyball qualifiers in Guinea Conakry. The sub-regional qualifiers
will run from January 8 to 12.
Team
captain, Abie Kujabi said they have been training very hard for the
championship, adding that they are committed for the tournament. She said they
are going to secure a gold medal for the country.
Head coach, Pa Barrow remained optimistic that
his side will claim a gold medal at the Zone 2 Olympic qualifiers in Guinea
Conakry. ‘‘We will use the Olympic qualifiers in Guinea to prepare ourselves
well for the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020,’’ coach Barrow said.

Gitteh recently joined the team and is part of the pair that will represent the
country in Guinea Conakry for the beach volleyball qualifiers.
