Gift FC are through to the next round of the Sukuta knockout championship following their 5-3 post-match penalty shootout victory over Sanchaba United in a tightly contested game on Wednesday.
Their penalty shootout win came after a 1-1 draw in the regulation time at the Dembadou Mini-stadium in Sukuta.
Sanchaba United opened the scoring in the first period before Gift FC levelled it in the second period and this pushed the game into a post-match penalty shootout which ended 5-3 in favour of Gift FC.
The victory saw Gift FC securing a place in the next round of the Sukuta knockout championship at the expense of Sanchaba United, who will have to hang their boots until next year.
