Following the successful opening of the GFA Gamtel/Gamcel Sponsored National League Division one first round last weekend, four teams have made their presence felt with an opening win over their opponents.
Defending champions Real De Banjul beat Hawks, Bakau United took home all three points over Armed Forces, Steve Biko came out victorious over Gamtel and GPA’s famous 4-1 win over Interior wrapped up Week One drama and victories.
Week Two, which will commence on Saturday, will see two week-one winners Real De Banjul and Steve Biko facing each other at the Banjul mini-stadium.
A win or loss for either side will see an increase or drop in points already gathered.
Other interesting encounters of the week shall see two week-one losers Armed Forces against Gamtel at the Brikama mini-stadium, while Hawks will play Seaview, who managed to pick a single point in their opening draw against Samger.
GPA versus Samger will be another interesting game to watch as both sides are set on harvesting more points in the 2013/13 league season.
