GFA 1st Division League title to decide this weekend

The Gambia Football Association GFA division one league title will be decide this weekend as  Real De Banjul and the Gambia Armed Forces are the two teams fighting for the country’s top flight tier annual football league show piece title.

Real De Banjul are currently leading the league table with 36 points in twenty-one games a single point ahead of second place the Gambia Armed Forces, who bagged 35 points in twenty-one games.

Victory for Real De Banjul against Young African on Sunday will see them being crown champions.

But a draw or defeat against Young Africans and a win for the Gambia Armed Force will really hampered their title hopes.

Armed Forces are currently occupying 2nd place with 35 points in twenty-one games need a victory against Hawks and hope Real De Banjul slip to Young Africans to be to clinch the league title since 2009, but a defeat or draw for Real De Banjul will see them being crown champions.

Young Africans and Hawks will survive in the top flight even if they lost to Real De Banjul and Armed Forces in the final day of the season.

The race for the league title is still open despite just one more game remaining for the first division league to come to an end.

Both Real De Banjul and the Gambia Armed Forces still stand a chance of lifting this year’s league title.

Despite Real De Banjul being tipped by many as favorites’ to win the league title as they are currently leading the league table with 36 points in twenty-one encounters, a point ahead of the Gambia Armed Forces who collected 35 points in twenty-one games. The Gambia Armed Forces still also have a chance of being crown champions in case they win Hawks and Real De Banjul draw or loses to City neighbors Young Africans.
