Peter Engle Hardt, a German national, and his Gambian accomplices: Kodou Ndow and Kumba Faal, were on 13th April 2010 arraigned before the magistrates court in Bundung on a charge of 'trafficking in obscene publication.'
Meanwhile, Peter Engle Hardt and his two accomplices, who all pleaded not guilty to the charge, were granted court bail in the sum of D5, 000 each, with a Gambian surety.
According to the particulars of the offence, on 7th April 2010 at Kololi village in the Kanifing Municpality, the accused persons unlawfully produced or had in their possession an obscene book, picture and other obscene objects.
Magistrate Mbacke adjourned the case to 3rd May 2010 for hearing.
