Gambian Athlete shines in indoor athletics championship

Gambian athlete Momodou Lamin Kujabi has once again won another 400 and 200 metres indoor athletics championship in Moncton, Pointsport has learnt.

The event, dubbed 2011 Royal Canadian Legion Provincial Tract & Field Moncton Indoor Provincial Athletic Championship held at the Moncton Outdoor Stadium, saw the 17-year-old Gambian athlete finish ahead of fellow competitors such as Wright Shawn at an impressive time of 50.04.

Kujabi, who competed in a series of high-profile athletics championship since moving to Canada last year, extended his exciting winning form to four, finishing the race at another exhilarating time of 23.45 seconds in the 200-metre race.         

Next for Kujabi is another championship as he prepares to come face to face with some of the world’s biggest athletes in the Hub City Tract and Field Classic on July 8, 2011 in Moncton Stadium.
