Canon FC and BB Rovers are through to the Serrekunda East Nawetaan Proper for this year, following their victories over their opponents at the Serrekunda East Mini stadium on Saturday and Sunday morning respectively.
Canon FC defeated Gicki Ba FC 3-2 on penalty shoot-out after the normal play of time ended 0-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Saturday morning.
Both teams played wonderful football and created many scoring opportunities in front of each others goal mouth but could not break the deadlock and the game ended 0-0 for penalty shoot-out.
Canon FC who were eager for promotion for this year's Serrekunda East Nawetaan Proper, defended well and created most of the scoring chances in front of Gicki Ba FC goal mouth while Gicki Ba FC were always caught on off-side.
BB Rovers also defeated Pak Food FC 4-3 on penalty shoot-out at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Sunday morning after the normal time of play ended 0-0.
BB Rovers who were determined and want to be promoted to this year's Serrekunda East Nawetaan Proper dominated most of the ball possession and created many scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on their numerous scoring chances and the game ended 0-0 for post match penalty kicks.
Canon FC and BB Rovers have now joined the other teams for this year's Serrekunda East Nawetaan Proper.
