This follows the election of a new executive bureau to steer the affairs of Gambian football for the next four years.
The Gambia Football Federation elections held on 20 September 2014 voted in former Gambian sports minister Modou Lamin Kaba Bajo as president of the GFF.
CAF had announced last Tuesday that its executive committee had agreed “to lift the suspension of The Gambia in the event that elections at the FA were well conducted.”
The Gambia was suspended from all Caf competitions for two years, for age cheating.
In a letter sent to Bajo to congratulate him on his election, CAF added that the lifting of the ban was dependent on the fact that all matters of age cheating or similar and punishable offences should not recur in future.
