Buba Jallow's brace helps U-17 secure draw in friendly

Prolific forward Buba Jallow netted a brace to help The Gambia national U-17 team come from behind to secure a dramatic 2-2 draw against Medina FC in a friendly encounter played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Monday.

Melez, who continues to establish himself as a goal machine for both the national U-17 and U-20 teams since recovering from a career threatening injury, scored twice in the first interval to help the under 17 leveled their advantage against the Serrekunda East outfit under the gears of an impressive attendance.

Buba Sanneh put Medina ahead in the 8th minute of the game from a superb strike and teammate Saikou Badjie added the second in the 50th minute of the game from a clever finish to give their side any hope of a victory at the expense of the Baby Scorpions who put one foot into a qualification berth for the Rwanda Championship with win over Morocco.

But two highly anticipated strikes from Samger talismanic forward prevented the Gambia National Under-17 team from conceding a defeat as he slotted home a superb free kick in the 53rd minute to give his side any hope of recovery.

Jallow added the second in the 62nd minute from a penalty spot when defender Haruna Jabang handled the ball inside Medina FC's penalty area.
