Brikama beaten again in volleyball league

Brikama Male Volleyball team on Saturday continued their disappointing run-off form in the second round of the Gambia Volleyball Association's National Volleyball League following their three sets to nil defeat in the hands of the Gambia Armed Forces at the Fajara Barracks Volleyball Lawn in Bakau.

Brikama, who are yet to register a win since the start of the league, were again beaten by 25 points to 16 points, 25 points to 19 points and 25 points to 21 points by mid-table occupiers Gambia Armed Forces, to secure all three points.

Earlier on Friday, 5 November 2010, in the female category, league leaders Interior Volleyball team beat Brikama by three sets to nil at the Gambia College Volleyball Lawn in Brikama.

The Brikama Female Volleyball team are also still struggling in second position from the bottom with 6 points in the five-team league, while Interior are at the top of the league with 21 points.

The knockout championship will kick start tomorrow, Tuesday 9 November 2010, between Gamtel/Gamcel Male Volleyball team, who have maintained their unbeaten run since the start of the league, against Brikama at the Gambia College Volleyball Lawn in Brikama, West Coast Region.
