Banyaka
are the latest casualty in the 2017 Berewuleng Football Club sponsored Kombo
South district football tournament, following their exit from the district’s
biggest football fiesta at the weekend.
Banyaka
lost to defending champions Kartong 1-0 in the opening game prior to their
final group match a clash with Mamuda at the weekend.
The
Banyaka-village outfit needed only a win to advance to the quarter final after
their 1-0 defeat to defending champions Kartong, but they surrendered the vital
three points to Mamuda. Mamuda now progress to the quarter final with 3 points
from one game. They have one more game to play against Kartong in their final
group A fixture.\
Banyaka
will now hang their boots until next year after elimination from the district
biggest football showpiece. Theyfinished with zero points, after losing all of
their group matches.
The
defending champions, Kartong, are in second-spot in group A with 3 points after
their 1-0 win over Banyaka in the opening game. They have one more game against
Mamuda to complete fixtures in Group A.
