Bantaba FC on Tuesday drew 0-0 with Culture FC in the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) Nawettan Competition played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Bantaba FC now collected 5 points in four games with a game in hand, while Culture FC got 4 points in four encounters with also a game in hand.
Speaking to Lamin ‘Dugal’ Jammeh, Head Coach of Bantaba FC, shortly after the game, he said his team is a different setup compared to Culture FC, adding that his side played very well, despite Culture FC have very good and mature players.
He stated that the game was difficult, but was a good game, noting that collecting a point was good because if he wins his final game of the group stage, he will qualify to the round of sixteen.
He further stated that he used the same players during last year’s Nawettan competition to reach the semifinals of both trophies (League and Knockout).
“The strength of his last year’s team and that of this year is all the same, and any thing could happen,” he responded, when asked weather his team can replicate his last year’s campaign by reaching the semifinals of both trophies.
He concluded by saying that they will go back, and prepare well for their final game of the group stage.
