Abuko United are through to the round of sixteen in the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) Nawetan Competition, following their 1-0 victory over Bradford FC in the final game of the group.

Mot Jagne scored the only goal of the game for Abuko United in the 77th minute of the game from a superb shot to give his side the needed three points.

Abuko United have now collected 8 points from five encounters, which guarantees them a place in the round of sixteen.

Kebba Jammeh head coach of Abuko United said he was happy with the result, but was a bit disappointed with the performance of his boys.

He noted that they are expecting changes this year, and will work hard to solve their problem of not being able to go past the quarterfinal stage of the Nawetan competition.

He also stated that their aim is to lift the trophy this season, and that he believes his boys will do so.

He added that they will prepare normally for the round of sixteen as they prepared for their previous games, and that they will work harder on their scoring tactics because they normally create a lot of chances, but most times finishing is a problem.
