A 25-year-old man of Tallinding in the Kanifing Municipality is said to be in dire need of assistance to undergo overseas medical treatment for Mitral prolapsed (Valvular heart disease).
According to Kemo Ceesay's medical report from the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital signed by Dr Sheikh Omar Bittaye, the patient is suffering with a history of chest pain, which usually radiates to the back.
The medical report indicates that Ceesay did improve after sometime but he is still complaining of chest pain and palpitation. The doctor has recommended that Ceesay seeks medical attention in higher medical institutions for better management.
A medical report from an earlier medical test at the AfriMed Clinic signed by Dr Omar Jagne, also indicates that "Ceesay has been complaining of chest pain radiating to the back (inter scapular area) for the past 11 months."
The AfriMed doctor recommended further management of the ailment, which needs valve repair (valuloplasty) for better prognosis and advised that "further work is necessary to consider the options available to treat his condition."
