Magistrate Ceesay of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court recently granted bail to one Fofo Makalo who was charged with the offence of assault causing actual bodily harm.
Makalo was granted bail in the sum of D1,000 with one Gambian surety who must swore to an affidavit of means.
According to the particulars of offence, on 23rd June 2010 at Serrekunda in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused person, Fofo Makalo, assaulted one Amie Jarju on her ear thereby causing her actual bodily harm.
The case was adjourned to 27th September 2010 for continuation.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, Isatou Jah, Adama Dubois and Sam Dubois were also arraigned recently at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court charged with common assault.
The three accused persons were alleged to have jointly assaulted one Binta Sanyang by beating her all over her body on 12th September 2010 at Bakau Farakono, in the Kanifing Municipality,
Their case was adjourned to 28th September 2010 for continuation.
