"I think it was a huge success. We've been able to achieve what we set out for in terms of creating awareness.”
“We were able to get about two to 300 women who came in and we listened to what was being said about breast cancer," Dr Jaiteh revealed.
Dr. Jaiteh added it gave them the opportunity to ask them questions at interactive sessions where women were able to get their questions answered about breast cancer. He said this would help them go back to their communities and spread the message.
He further revealed that they were able to do health checks for chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes as well as a situation where people were able to know their status when it comes to such kinds of conditions.
Dr. Jaiteh congratulated Sports Journalists Association for winning the first edition of Solace Foundation breast cancer awareness and fundraising sporting day football trophy.
"We also had a health fitness activity where we had the National Assembly for Bundungka Kunda Sulayman Jammeh among us.”
He thanked members and executive members of Solace Foundation for working tirelessly for the past one month in coming to Serrekunda East to make sure that this event becomes successful.
