Fortune win, Real de Banjul held in Gambian Premier League

Fortune FC won while Real de Banjul were held to a draw in the week-22 fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League played on Tuesday.

 

Fortune FC defeated Marimoo Pakfood 1-0 at the Bakau Mini Stadium. Alieu Barry scored the game’s only goal for the Petroleum Boys.

Fortune FC, who started the second round fantastically maintain their 3rd position on the table standing with 36 points, a point behind Real who sit 2nd position.

Marimoo Pakfood sit 6th position with 31 after 22 games.   

Greater Tomorrow held Real de Banjul to a one-all draw at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

Essa Jallow gave Real de Banjul the lead after converting a penalty kick in the 28 minute but Adama Jarju’s own-goal in the 90+3 minutes restored parity for Greater Tomorrow.

The result maintained Real de Banjul at 2nd position with 37 points while Greater Tomorrow maintain 15th position with 22 points.

Team Rhino played a 1-1 draw against Samger FC at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

Modou Lamin Nyassi scored for Team Rhino in the 6th minute while Modou Lamin Jammeh levelled the scores for Samger in the 61st minute.

The Nema Kunku-based team occupy 7th position with 30 points while the Academy Boys sit 4th position with 33 points.  

Meanwhile, Banjul United and PSV Wellingara played a barren goalless draw during a game played at Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

The result maintains both teams at the relegation zone, with Banjul United sitting 14th position with 23 points while PSV Wellingara occupy rock bottom (16th) position with 18 points in 22 games.
