Executive Committee of The Sports Journalists’ Association of The Gambia (SJAG) on Thursday o launched its Awards Committee prior to the 2027 National Sports Award Ceremony.
The launching ceremony of the Award Committee of the 2027 SJAG National Sports Awards was held at the Seaview Gardens Hotel.
The ceremony tasked the newly unveiled committee to oversee the preparations and framework for the highly-anticipated SJAG National Sports Award Ceremony slated for April 2027.
According to SJAG, the committee is responsible for developing structural awards and framework, detailing categories.
The committee will coordinate the nomination process, setting strict selection criteria to guarantee fair, transparent and credible event.
The 2027 award ceremony is expected to be one of the biggest celebrations of Gambian sports, honoring athletes, officials and stakeholders for their outstanding contributions.
