Falcons held again in GFF 1st Division League

Current league leaders, Falcons FC were again held, while all the other week- 22 fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) failed to produce a winner on Monday.

Falcons FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Hawks FC in a game played at the King George 5 Mini-Stadium in Banjul.

Falcons FC took the lead through Adama Jammeh in the 15 minute of the match, while Remi Mendy leveled the scores for Hawks FC in the 27 minutes.

The draw was FalconsFC and HawksFC 9th draws of the league season.

Falcons FC maintain their lead at the top of the league table with 42 points after securing 11 triumphs, 9 draws and 1 defeat in 21league matches.

Hawks FC occupy 12th position on the league table with 24 points, levelling with Gamtel after winning 5 matches, drawing 9 and losing 8.  

Brikama United played a barren goalless draw against Waa Banjul in a game played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

The draw was both sides’ 9th draws of the league season.

Brikama United won three consecutive matches in a row before clashing with Waa Banjul.

The Sateyba boysnow sit 7th position on the league table with 30 points.

Waa Banjul occupy 11th position on the league table with 25 points after collecting two wins in their last five league games.  

Wallidan FC were also held to a goalless draw by Gamtel FC in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum.

The draw was Blue’s 5th draw of the season and Telecom Giants’ 6th of the league season.

The defending FF Cup champions, Wallidan dropped to 4th position on the league table with 32 points after winning 9 matches, drawing 5 and losing seven.

Gamtel FC registered 6 victories, 6 draws and 10 defeats.

The Telecom sit 13th position on league table with 24 points, levelling with Hawks FC.    

Steve Biko and The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) played a goalless draw in a match played at the Bakau Mini-Stadium.

The draw was the Beach Boys 12th draw of the league season and Army’s 5th draw of the league season.

Steve Biko registered one victory in their last five matches.

The Beach Boys now occupy 10th position on the league table with 27 points.

The Gambia Armed Forces sit 9th position on the league table with 29 points.
