Ceesay, Jallow assist in clubs’ league matches

Scorpions’ attackers Assan Ceesay (FC Zurich) and Ablie Jallow (RFC Seraing) provided assists during their European club’s league matches played on Saturday.

Assan Ceesay provided the assist for Benjamin Kololii’s goal in the 5th minute for FC Zurich during their 2-1 lost against Young Boys in their opening game of the Swiss Super league (First Division) played at the Stadion Wankdorf on Saturday.

The 25-year-old striker who continued with his fine form since returning from loan in Germany lasted for 84 minutes.

The Banjul-born player has scored three goals for FC Zurich since returning from the German second division side VFL Osnabruck.

Elsewhere, countryman Ablie Jallow alias Germano provided two assists during his Belgium second division side RFC Seraing 3-2 away defeat against Union Saint-Gilloise in their week-four fixtures of the Belgian Second Division League played at the Stade Joseph Marien on Saturday.

The 21-year-old attacker assisted both goals for Theo Pierrot and Georges Mikautadze in the 40th and 59th minutes respectively.

The Bundung-born player who is on-loan from French club Metz has now provided three assists in three matches for RFC Seraing.

The Seraing-based club currently sits third on the table with 6 points, while Union Saint-Gilloise sit top of the standings with 8 points after four matches.
