Njai, who was elected onto office as an independent candidate, received the award in view of his pragmatic and sound and focused-decision making approach.
In an interview with The Point, Njai said that it is a great honor to receive a special African iconic award, further thanking all of the people, who believed in him and voted for him during the National Assembly Election.
"I am expressing my heartfelt delight to all those who enabled me to achieve this goal. I consider myself lucky to have received this award from this youth network who are changing lives by the day. I hope to continue doing my best in the future to stand for young people and Africa as whole."
The Banjul Central lawmaker also noted that the accomplishment is a significant milestone in his career and further extended special gratitude to his parents, the people of Banjul Central Constituency for giving him the opportunity to serve them in that capacity as a young person.
"Africa continent has its prestigious values that need to be safeguarded by young minds, and with the continuous support of our elders we can know more and do more. With promotion of self awareness, we will be able to balance globalisation, acculturation and the reservation of our cultural heritage."Njai explained.
