An MRI scan of the arm, conducted in March 2025, revealed an intramuscular, spindle-shaped mass involving the brachioradialis muscle, measuring 7.21 by 4.36 cm. The mass was well-defined, encapsulated, and showed a narrow transition zone consistent with benign features. The underlying bones appeared normal.
The report further stated that an excision biopsy was performed in August, and histology confirmed a diagnosis of leiomyosarcoma. A few months later, the tumour began to grow again and has since expanded significantly, preventing her from being able to adduct her left shoulder.
“We, as a board, recommend that she be urgently evaluated by an oncologist and that appropriate treatment be initiated to save her left upper limb, if possible,” the report concluded.
The family explained that they have tried everything possible to ensure her recovery, but without success. They are therefore appealing for support from individuals, philanthropists, and the government to help save the life of their daughter.
