The presentation, facilitated by the charity’s local partner Rural Urban Charitable Association (RUCA) was held at the school’s premises in Brikama Jamisa.
Sulayman Cessay, the Vice President of the Rural-Urban Charitable Association (RUCA) disclosed that the school was selected to show that its students are equal members of society even though they may be treated and seen otherwise.
Ceesay thanked the charity’s manager Asma Siddique who assured the school of their further support.
Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, the school’s head boy Kebba Touray, expressed gratitude to Muslim Global Relief and their Kombo Lamin based partners Rural-Urban Charitable Association (RUCA) for selecting the school for such a wonderful gesture.
Touray also informed donors that they have a science lab but are challenged when conducting practicals and therefore require further support in that area.
Muslim Global Relief (MGR) is a charitable organisation that aims to break the cycle of poverty by ensuring that all children have access to quality education. It provides clean drinking water to rural and urban communities and supports low-income households with income-generating activities such as horticultural gardening and the rearing of small ruminants.
These interventions, according to charity officials, are in addition to the sponsorship programs it runs across the country to ensure children of poor families have access to education.
