
Speaking at the event, Fatou Gibba Jobarteh, headmistress of the school, highlighted some of the achievements registered in the school in the recent past, while commending parents, students and their dedicated teaching staff for being supportive to the development of the institutions.
She underscored the importance of the day in the school’s calendar of events, noting that it is a day meant to celebrate the remarkable achievement of their graduating students.
“It is a true joy to be standing here today celebrating such a meaningful occasion. This graduation is not just a day in the school’s calendar, it marks a big step forward, one that recognises all the hardwork, dedication, and growth each of you has shown.”
To their graduating pupils, headmistress Gibba-Jobarteh reminded that it is moment to let them work towards achieving their goals.
“You have reached a goal, you’ve worked for years, and we are so much proud of all you.”
She also informed them as they kiss bye to the school, they should remain strong, thoughtful, determined young people ready for the next chapter.
“You have made this school come alive with your energy, your creativity and your spirit. There were easy days when everything fell into place, and there were harder days, when things didn't go quite as planned. But you kept going.” she said.
She equally reminded them of the core values in life and challenged them to always remain strong and be positive, further thanking the dedicated teaching staff for their commitment.
Mr Saiba K.B. Keita, chairperson of the school Board touched on the importance of education and knowledge in today’s era, further advising the graduating pupils to take education seriously.
Kemo Bah and Sheikh Tijan Gaye, both expressed similar sentiments, further urging parents to always monitor the performance of their children in school.
The event was graced by parents, teachers, students and a cross section of the community of Kukunjang Keitaya.
