The annual event was aimed at raising awareness among residents and satellite communities on the importance of education, environmental protection, natural resource preservation and climate change; civil education; youth empowerment and conflict resolution among others.
Addressing the gathering, Momodou Sowe, president of SNSA commended the association's members for their hard work towards smooth implementation of the annual event.
He informed that the primary aim of the association is to promote education in the community and its satellite communities.
"We want to see that children of Sare Nyanga and satellite communities are educated. We want to make sure the village is clean and hygiene. The association also wants to enhance unity and social cohesion among youth of the area." he said.
Delving into the association's achievements, he said, the association has been supporting students to continue their education, pointing out that the association has also been active in strengthening community and school cleaning initiatives.
He thus urged the village's youth to remain united and work harder to enhance social development in the village.
Pierre Bah, Chief of Niani District commended the youth of Sare Nyanga for their foresight and commitment to the community's development.
He urged the youth to maintain discipline, be united and continue the good work.
That, he believes, would help them to attain the sustainable development goals they are yearning for daily.
Chief Bah promised that he will work collaboratively with the youth of Sare Nyanga and all residents of Niani District to ensure sustainable development in the area.
Khalipha Sowe, guest speaker commended the youth of Sare Nyanga for that important initiative, which he said, is significant in contributing to the development of the community.
"Community services are essential in contributing immensely to societal and human development. You have started good work. Please continue the work. Voluntary services help to develop your community and its satellite villages." he said.
To that end, he urged the youth to be serious with their education so as to help attain their goals.
Dr. Demba Baldeh, specialist on climate change called on the community and satellite villages to protect their natural resources, most especially the forest.
The forest, he affirmed, is essential in providing food and other human needs, thus urging all to play a part in protecting their forest and plant more trees to ensure sustainability of the forest.
"We have to protect our resources such as the forest," he emphasised.
Ebrima P. Bah, district youth chairperson for Niani District, expressed similar sentiments. The forum, he added, is a clear manifestation that the youth of Sare Nyanga are committed to the development of the village.
"To ensure youth participation in nation-building the authorities need to support and empower the youth," he said.
He assured to work hand in hand with youth of Sare Nyanga and all young people of Niani District.
Musa Jallow, a resident of Mbulbuk village also emphasised the significance of the event in enhancing unity in the area as well promoting awareness.
Presenting on digital revolution, Oustas Demba Baldeh urged people to utilise their devices such as smartphone wisely.
