Key political parties and movements, led by the United Democratic Party (UDP), will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday to formalise the 'Gambia First Coalition' ahead of the December 5 presidential election.

The signing ceremony will take place on Friday afternoon at Jama Hall, Kairaba Hotel, in Senegambia.

The event is expected to bring together top opposition party executives, representatives of political movements, as well as party supporters and sympathisers.

Following the signing, coalition leaders will hold a joint press briefing. The briefing will outline the alliance’s formation, aims, and objectives, and seek to build confidence among the Gambian electorate ahead of the polls.

The Senegambia will provide live coverage and timely updates from the ceremony.
