The National Livestock Owners Association (NaLOA) recently extended support to the family of the late Alasana Bah, a 29-year-old boy who was killed in Omorto Village, Kombo East.

The support included six bags of rice, a bag of sugar and onion, 20 litre gallon of cooking oil and cash amount of D12,000, among others. Losing a colleague in such a tragic act is always heartbreaking as a family man in view of the current realities of life.

It is against this backdrop that the National Livestock Owners Association put hands together and supported the family of the deceased.

At the handing over ceremony, Ebrima O. Jallow, president of the National Livestock Owners Association, expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Alasana Bah, saying the visit was meant to console with the bereaved family during this difficult moment.

He commended members of the association and Brikama ‘Daral’ for their contribution in supporting the bereaved family.

The Imam of Omorto, Dembo Kujabie thanked members of the association for the good gesture.

The support, he added, comes at a time when the family need it most as the late Alasan Bah was the only breadwinner of the family.

Almamo Kanteh, chairman of the Omorto Village Development Committee, lauded the move taken by the association for their foresight, saying it came when the family find it hard to care for themselves and in need of help.

Yorro Pateh of Sinchu Village Kombo East and Sutura Jallow executive member of NaLOA, both described the death of Alasana Bah as a big loss to the family and thus appealed for philanthropists to support the family as he left children.

Lamin Bah, father to the deceased, narrated how the family was able to deal with the passing of their son, whom he said, was married with three (3) wives and nine children.

Muhammed (Bamol) Jallow, an uncle to the deceased, also expressed similar sentiments.

He hailed members of the National Livestock Owners Association for the move.

The assistance, he noted, is not only meant to show empathy but also to share with the family of the dceeased in their moment of grief.
