Speaking shortly after the official signing, Mr Hagie Drammeh, Chief Executive Officer and founder of THD TV Gambia, expressed gratitude and excitement for what he called “a new chapter.” He said: “This partnership with Star TV is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. We are committed to using this great opportunity to promote the two brands in an innovative and impactful way.”
Mr Drammeh emphasised that the collaboration will focus on achieving success collectively and creating wider opportunities for the future. Under the agreement, THD TV will leverage its expertise in production, social media marketing, and content creation to highlight programmes and products offered by both platforms.
The partnership is expected to foster growth and visibility for both brands, paving the way for mutually beneficial success.
Mr Kawsu Badjie, Managing Director of Star Radio/TV, assured that the two sides will work together to enhance service delivery while upholding the core values of the agreement. He expressed confidence that the partnership would strengthen the media sector and deliver quality content to audiences.
Human Resources and Logistics Manager, Mr Sheikh Gaye, also expressed delight at the deal, praising the commitment of both institutions and thanking all parties involved in the agreement process.
The two‑year contract is seen as a strategic alliance that will expand the reach of both THD TV and Star TV/Radio, reinforcing their position as key players in The Gambia’s evolving media industry.
