Former Niani NAM supports fire victims

Former National Assembly Member for Niani Constituency, Demba Samburecently supported fire victims of Niani Faraba with food items and cash.

The fire burnt acompound with 8 houses to ashes in Faraba, Niani District, Central River Region North.              

Items lost in the fire includedcoos, rice, groundnuts, cash, clothes,beds, shoes, cupboards, seats, among other valuable materials.

Chief of the District Alhagie Pierre Bah thanked the donor on behalf of beneficiaries.

According to Chief Bah, Mr Sambu who now resides in United States of America has been supportive and considerate to people of his district.

He called on other donors, government, private sector and others to assist the affected families.

National People’s Party Chairman and Public Relations Officer for the district who accompanied chief Bah also donated some cash to the family.

Alkalo of the village, Sorryba  Kandeh thanked Mr Sambu for reducing the burden on the affected family.

BANJUL – On Tuesday 28 April 2020, the Director General of the Gambia Tourism Board (GTBoard) and the Chief Executive of the Africa Infrastructure Fund (AIF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together to undertake a feasibility study for a proposed Elevated Mass Transit Rail System (EMTRS) in the Greater Banjul Area (GBA).
