Project Aid donates over 4000 facemasks to 4 major institutions

Project Aid, The Gambia has donated over 4000 facemasksto The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA), The Gambia Police Force (GPF), The Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) and The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) as a protective measure against the Omicron variant of Covid-19.

 

The presentation of the items was held at Project Aid head office in Kotu on Thursday 13 January 2022.

Mattlias Vetteler, Director of Project Aid, The Gambia said the institutions are in close interaction with people on a daily basis and for this reason,the FS2 protective facemask  will go a long way in helping mitigate the spread of the Omicron Virus.

He added that the facemasks are produced in Germany and are original facemask that will be used to help in combating the further spread of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 in The Gambia.

Abdoulie Charles Mbye, Local Chairman at Project Aid, The Gambia described the donation as very important and timely. He urged beneficiaries to make good use of the item for the well-being of all Gambians.

Bai Cham, Assistant Safety Manager at The Gambia Port Authority (GPA) thanked Project Aid, The Gambia for the gesture and gave assurance that the item will be put into good use for the safety of all Gambians.
