CRR governor, chiefs receive first vaccination

The governor of Central River Region (CRR), Sheriff Abass Sanyang, regional chiefs, regional health personnel, councilors, women mobilisers, senior government officials among others recently received the covid-19 vaccination.

The vaccination took place at the governor’s office during the launch of the vaccination campaign in CRR.

The lunch was organised to enlighten people of the region on the pandemic as well as let them know that it can be prevented by taking the injection, but also that the vaccination is safe.

Governor Sheriff Abba Sanyang highlighted the dangers associated with Covid-19. He described the vaccination campaign as good and timely, noting that it will help in the fight against the disease.

According to him, the injection is safe and prevents people from spreading the pandemic. He called on people to take the injection seriously.                            

Various chiefs who took the injection highlighted its importance and called on people within their districts to take the injection.

Regional health director, Sarjo Darboe, explained the signs and symptoms of Covid-19 and called on people to adhere to WHO guidelines by wearing face masks, regularly washing their hands and observe social and physical distancing.
